Transportation

Consumer Protection

Helping transportation authorities and operators manifest the future of travel, reducing carbon emissions and improving commuters’ wellbeing.

Our work in this space

We work on developing and evaluating incentive schemes and travel apps that aim to reduce carbon emissions by encouraging active travel, and modal and time shift. We have conducted trials with transport authorities across Greater Manchester, Surrey, and the Bay Area, USA.

We conducted the first ever randomised controlled trial in the aviation industry. Our  low-cost and non-intrusive behavioural nudges changed captains’ behaviour, reducing CO2 emissions and increasing job satisfaction.

Using ridership data and surveys, we help service providers such as Uber, and a cycling training program in the UK, measure the value they deliver to their customers.

Methods and services

  • Data audits and analytics
  • Low-cost behavioural nudges
  • Randomised controlled trials
  • Understanding value/willingness to pay
