Job title: Research and Communications Intern (part-time)
Location: Remote
Application deadline: April 1st, 2021
Duration: Three months
About The Behaviouralist
The Behaviouralist is a London-based research and consulting firm. Our team–comprising behavioural scientists, economists, data analysts and designers–works on behaviour change projects across the public and private sectors. We've worked with governments, large tech firms, airline companies, utilities and others to improve outcomes ranging from tax compliance and fuel efficiency to technology adoption and employee productivity.
About the role
We are looking for a current student or recent graduate who wants to pursue a behavioural science career and is looking to work on a part-time basis supporting TB’s efforts to communicate our work to a range of audiences. We expect the intern to commit to working on average between 5 and 10 hours per week and focus on:
- Translating the work done in projects and academic research into engaging and accessible communications such as policy memos and case studies
- Drafting blog posts that communicate novel concepts and findings related to behavioural science to a broad audience
- Contributing to the development of content for TB's website and social media channels
Initially, the position will go on until the end of the school term (three months approximately). The intern will receive a stipend commensurate with the number of hours worked. After the three months, we expect that there will be an opportunity to extend this role or turn it into a full-time summer internship.
About you
You should be an excellent writer and critical thinker who is passionate about behavioural science. We expect you to be studying or have finished a degree in economics, behavioural science, social/cognitive psychology, public policy or a related field.
You should be interested in the application of behavioural science in a range of sectors and gaining exposure to behavioural consulting.
