John is an American economist at the University of Chicago, where he serves as Kenneth C. Griffin Distinguished Service Professor in Economics and the Chairman of the Department of Economics.
List is noted for his innovative use of field experiments to offer new insights in various areas of economics research.
Diane is the Bennett Professor of Public Policy at the University of Cambridge and former Professor of Economics at the University of Manchester. She is a member of the Natural Capital Committee, a Fellow of the Office for National Statistics, and a researcher at the Economic Statistics Centre of Excellence. She specialises in the economics of new technologies, markets and competition policy.
Alex is an Associate Professor at the Department of Economics, University of Oxford, and a Tutorial Fellow at St. Catherine’s College. He is also the Deputy Director of the Economics of Sustainability group at the Institute for New Economic Thinking at the Oxford Martin School and a co-founder of Refugees’ Say, an organisation that is developing new technology for refugee resettlement.
Author of “The Economics of the Financial Crisis”, he is a two-times winner of the Rybczynski Prize for best paper in business economics, awarded by the Society of Business Economists in London. He has extensive experience (seven years as Chief Economist and Head of Business Innovation Strategy at GE) and he is also a member of the Board of Advisors on Information Technology at Japan's Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry.
