Meet our team

Bob is a prominent economist and leader in policy research in law and economics, regulation, and antitrust. He is a Visiting Professor and was formerly the Director of Economics at the Smith School of Enterprise and the Environment at the University of Oxford. Bob previously served as a member of the U.S. Commission for Evidence-Based Policymaking.

Prof. Robert Hahn

Co-Founder & Advisor

Rob is an experimental innovator and a renowned behavioural economist. His work has improved lives and increased revenues for households, organisations, and governments. He is an Assistant Professor of Economics at Boston University.

Prof. Rob Metcalfe

Jesper has extensive experience running randomised control trials, particularly with a focus on behavioural change. He has worked on a range of topics, from food security to trade. Jesper holds a Master of Public Affairs from Brown University and an M.Phil in Economics from the University of Oxford.

Ondrej is a social psychologist and service designer. He specialises in social decision-making and behaviour change, particularly in the domain of sustainability. Ondrej holds a M.Phil in Psychology from the University of Cambridge.

Rahel is a senior behavioural designer specialising in qualitative research, intervention design, and participatory methods. She has led end-to-end project delivery for a range of public-sector clients, using behavioural insights to inform communications, interventions and policy-making.

Manu is a Lead Data Behavioural Scientist for The Behaviouralist. He heads research projects and data analytics and specialises in the design, implementation, and evaluation of behavioural change interventions in areas ranging from education to public health and labour markets. Manu holds a Master of Public Affairs from Brown University.

Iranzu is a service designer. She specialises in design research and strategic design. Iranzu has led projects for a wide range of companies from retail to the financial sector. Her background is in marketing and product management in the pharma and biotech sectors.

Ian has a background in cognitive psychology, behavioural economics, and eye tracking. He specialises in understanding micro decision processes and has applied this in retail, social marketing, and customer experience for over 15 years. He has an MA in Psychology from Edinburgh and an MSc in Cognition and Decision Sciences from UCL.

Filippo is a behavioural scientist at The Behaviouralist. He holds a MSc in Psychology of Economic Life from the London School of Economics and has experience in programme evaluation, group facilitation, and service design.

Kai is an economist at The Behaviouralist. He holds a Master of Applied Science (MASc) in Data, Economics, and Development Policy from MIT and a BA in Economics from UC Berkeley. Kai’s background is in research, program evaluation, and consulting in the fields of behavioural and development economics.

Ankita is Office Administrator at The Behaviouralist. She holds a BSc in Hotel & Hospitality Administration and a Master in Business Administration with a specialisation in International Business.

Michaela is a behavioural data scientist. She holds a MSc in Behavioural Science from the London School of Economics and a B.A. in Economics and Psychology from Trinity College in Dublin. Her background is in data analytics and research in the fields of housing economics and mobility.

Kira is a behavioural science intern at The Behaviouralist, with interests in health behaviour change and social equity. She holds a MSc in Behaviour Change from UCL and a BSc in Psychology from the University of Exeter.

Kira Hinsley

Itzhak is a PhD candidate in behavioural economics at the University of Oxford, where he also obtained his master's and undergraduate degrees. His research interests include behavioural game theory, policy evaluation and experimental design. As a researcher for the Behaviouralist, he helps turn reports into academic papers and review the latest advances in behavioural economics.

Itzhak Rasooly

Research Associate

Canishk is a mathematician and behavioural economist. He holds a BA in Mathematics from the University of Cambridge, an MSc (Distinction) in Applicable Mathematics from the LSE and won the Haya Freedman Prize for his dissertation in behavioural decision science. Canishk assists with research and data analysis, particularly in the social housing sector. He is currently pursing a PhD in Economics at the LSE.

Author of “The Economics of the Financial Crisis”, he is a two-times winner of the Rybczynski Prize for best paper in business economics, awarded by the Society of Business Economists in London. He has extensive experience (seven years as Chief Economist and Head of Business Innovation Strategy at GE) and he is also a member of the Board of Advisors on Information Technology at Japan's Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry.
